Here’s the next picture in the progress of Charles W. Morgan whaleship restoration at Mystic Seaport from our friend Jeff Gold. It took me a minute to figure it out, being an “arty” shot also. I believe it is the aft end of the garboard, or the plank just above it, looking forward. Notice the bungs in the old fastener holes in the ribs.
